JUNTOS group meeting: Before we say what a typical JUNTOS group meeting is like, it will be better to understand what JUNTOS does. JUNTOS’ mission is to promote positive behaviors, train youth leaders and activists, and reduce numbers of HIV/AIDS and Malaria, especially amongst Mozambican youth. Other topics of group discussions include self-esteem, leadership, gender equality, safe sex practices, future planning, puberty, reproductive health, pregnancy, violence, and many more.  We accomplish our goals through cultural expression and strong community-driven, culturally rich activities.   A typical JUNTOS meeting starts with an ice break activity, of which some of the activities/games are mentioned in the JUNTOS manual/handout (but not limited to these).
